FAQ

Q. Do I need to order? How early should I place my order?
A. To ensure a consistently fresh product, sweet e’s prepares a limited selection of desserts which are available on a first come first serve basis in our shop.Calling ahead will give you a better chance of getting what you want. Ordering early will ensure it. We strongly suggest ordering 3-5 days in advance. This is required for 8” diameter cakes and larger and for orders of more than 24 pieces of miniature pastries.

Q. How long do your cakes last?
A. Sweet e’s products are made with all natural ingredients. They will last 3-4 days, well wrapped, in the refrigerator.

Q. Allergies?
a. Sweet e’s uses nuts in its kitchen. Nuts are not added to all our products however, all products may contain traces of nuts or nut oils.
b. For gluten allergies: we offer a gluten free chocolate cake, seasonally we have pavlova and meringue cookies.

Q. Do you deliver?
A. No, we are unable to provide a delivery service.

Q. Do your cakes travel well?
A. It is possible to transport our cakes over long distances. However, a little planning is necessary. Coolers and ice packs are needed to keep the cakes cool. Particular caution should be taken during the summer months. It will also be necessary to safeguard your cake from tipping and jostling.

Q. Do you cater?
A. Sweet e’s can accommodate large orders for parties and events, however, we do not have plates or platters. Desserts will be carefully boxed for pick up.

Q. What is the best way to cut your cakes, particularly the 4” cakes?
A. Sweet e’s cakes are moist and tender. Just a few simple instructions will have you slicing cake like a professional. Use a knife heated in a glass of hot water. Clean the knife after each cut. Remember to use a true slicing motion, starting at the end of the blade closest to the handle, drawing the knife back and down through the cake – do not push the knife straight down through the cake, this will merely crush your wonderful dessert.

Q. Freezing?
A. Chocolate cakes, carrot cake, and cheesecakes can all be frozen with great results. Muffins, cookies, and brownies are ideal candidates for freezing. All of our tarts, excluding the Banana Caramel Cream and the Coconut Cream, can be frozen. Our meringue is freezer stable. It will not weep after coming out of the refrigerator or freezer.
